The term "poet" is a label loaded with this.
Next, just what is poetry anyway?
To me it's more than words that rhyme, or
a set of conventions that define a style of
writing. Poetry is about making a low level
emotive connection with the reader as possible.
The conventions of poetry make the easier since
they quantify what is known to work.
Kristin's writing follows hardly any of the "rules"
yet achieves the same sort of result. I personally
like how she can string together seemingly un-related
images that eventually form an image of something
bigger. She's a poet, only she doesn't follow all
the rules.
