For those that are interested in this band apparently there is to be a new
release called Peace At Last and apparently the release date is June 7.

It's intended as a mixing record for DJs (well, it's probably intended
as fodder for sad obsessive collectors like me, but that's the official
excuse). The tones are basically the same as the track "Pure Phase"
from the album of the same name, but recorded at different frequencies.
Live, this sound was used as a link between songs (and as an intro -
when I saw them here the first part of the gig was about ten minutes of
the pure phase sound with the lights on the stage slowly pulsing).
I'd happily buy an hour-long album of this - the 12" is a bit
unsatisfactory as it doesn't go on long enough (a bit like listening to
a 5 minute extract of "Neroli", it misses the point somewhat). There's
supposed to be another 12" out this year, of similar stuff.

Interesting Spiritualized fact: the left and right channels of "Pure
Phase" were mixed separately - Jason made two mixes of the album and
couldn't decide which he preferred, so he put half of each on the album.

I'm not sure if Transient Random... can be called a progression from MAQ,
since it came out before MAQ. It *is* a better album, however.

>like is a very strange word after you read it x amount of, like, times.

That's the thing about people saying it every other word...you listen to
them and after a while you realise half of what they're saying is
meaningless filler.

You think that's weird though...try staring at 'anyhow' for a long time and
it won't make sense anymore

must go lie down now

What is the 4AD info hotline number?

It seems that here in Toronto in order to get
an STP cassette you have to buy a 4AD
product for a sale price. Of course I was
thinking of picking up Infliction but that's
not the point when other countries got there's
for free. THANKS ALOT Polygram CANADA :-P.

So if I someone could give me the hotline
number I'd really appreciate it.

Has anybody who received an STP tape sent away that small "for
more info on these 4AD bands" request part of the J card? I tore off
the one from my tape, filled it our and tried to send
it to the address listed, but it was returned saying that the po box was
closed.

Anybody?

So maybe that's why eg. a channel of Medication decrease at the
end of the song. That's what happens in the american cd and tape.
