After the Boulder show I spoke to bothe Brendan and Robert Perry. Brendan was exhausted as the temperature on stage was over 90 degrees, prompting Lisa's hasty retreat after "Bolero." Brendan was set upon and monopolized by a Boulder didgeridoo player who talked his ear off for over an hour.
Robert and John Bonnar informed that the tune "Bolero," a Robert/Lisa composition, will appear on the new Lisa Gerrard solo album the three are working on. Robert said they holed up at a small cabin in Ireland where the song came together.
All three continued to marvel at the response and size of the Santa Fe crowd. Robert noted that the venue sold 1,200 tickets in advance and 1,000 more the day of the show.
I'd like to note the the band's backstage accontrements include large amounts of Guiness Pub draft and Bushmill's Irish Whiskey. Mr. Ronan O'Snodeigh was an active and enthusiastic participant in the consumption process. Brendan drank a big 22 oz bottle of Sawtooth Ale made in Longmont Colorado.
The Boulder Theatre holds perhaps 850 people and I'd guess another hundred or so were crammed in. Judging by the amount of calls and patrons trying to buy tickets in vain, the band could have easily have played for 2 nights.
