The new sampler is Wakefield Vol. 7, so you missed a few inbetween. The CD
is available from Teenbeat @ $ 5,00. Go to

The first CD, 'I Want It All' is still available. Try Parasol or something.
Btw, Containe have just released their second CD, 'Only Cowards Walk Like
Cowards'. Parasol, Vinyl Ink, Ajax. They all have it.

Thanks, Frank, for this cool site. Here are some highlights...

Teenbeat will turn 12 on February 23rd, 1997. To celebrate this, we are
holding a concert at the Galaxy Hut in Arlington on Feb. 28th. Olympic
Death Squad, Andrew Beaujon, True Love Always, and special guests will
perform. 2711 Wilson Blvd. STARTS AT 5 p.m.!

Is Teenbeat still an independent label? Yes, absolutely, 100 percent. We
have just ended our distribution deal with Matador records and are now
free and clearly just as independent as ever. ALL of our records will
now be manufactured and distributed by TEENBEAT.

What ever happened to that new Air Miami EP? That was a situation of us
jumping the gun, advertising a record before it was finished. It still
has yet to be finished. Stay tuned...

In a message dated 97-01-29 11:19:16 EST, you write:

<< evian is correct that the release coincided with a 4AD festival in Los
Angeles. The art of 23 Envelope was displayed at a gallery as part of
 the festival ...>>

er uh...actually v23...(formerly 23 Envelope)

<<..and many of the 4AD recording artists performed over the
(two?) days that the festival lasted. >>

It was actually a full 6 days. The schedule was:
Tues. Sept 27 Air Miami, Red House Painters, The Wolfgang Press
Wed. Sept. 28th "special guests", his name is alive, pale saints
Thurs. Sept. 29th "special guests", lisa germano, throwing muses
Fri. Sept. 30th Michael Brook, Heidi Berry,Defever & Masters, Kristin Hersh
Sat Oct. 1st Lisa Gerrard, Mark Kozelek, Michael Brook, Lisa Gerrard,
"special guests"
Sun Oct. 2nd Kendra Smith, Lisa Germano

The Tues thru Thurs shows took place at The Troubadour, while the remaining
shows took place at McCabe's and the v23 exhibition took place at the Pacific
Design Theatre.

I believe the whole thing was put together to celebrate the partnership
between 4AD and Warnerand as a US version of "The 13 Year Itch" celebration
that took place earlier in the UK.

<<.. I was not able to attend, but a friend of mine was there. My friend
did send some pictures of the gallery exhibit and a poster. >>

Photos of the exhibit can also be seen in both editions of "This Rimy
River"...although it's harder to make out in the special edition ;)

<<...Along with the CD AVAM there was a release of a collection of videos
under the same name(songlist different from the CD). Wish I could have
gone.
  >>

You're not the only one. I didn't find out until 5 days before hand...too
late to take off work and make plans. I am still waiting for the day Ivo
decides to throw another one of these little festies!

I have received many complaints from people on this mailing list accusing
me of sending unsolicited advertisements. I have sent no such
advertisements. I have been confused with the real sender of these
advertisements, because of the similarity of our e-mail addresses. Mine
is [email protected]. The real sender of these advertisements is
[email protected]. We are NOT one in the same. I have received repeatedly
the same annoying messages. I know that it may be hard to believe that
two seperate people with such similar e-mail addresses could be on the
same listserv mailing list, but it happened. Juno has threatened to
terminate my e-mail account because of users complaining of junk mail
allegedly sent by me. Anyone who has saved any of these junk messages
will know that not one of them is from [email protected] (me) but from
[email protected] (someone else). Please, do not send any messages to Juno
accusing the me of what I did not do. This would be very sad if I were to
end up losing my e-mail access because some jerk wants to advertise his
stupid business. For now, I have withdrawn from the 4AD mailing list to
avoid any more problems.=( I would like to re-join it soon to keep up
with news on Mojave 3 and Lush (especially since what happened with
Chris). Could someone on the list please forward me info?

Thanks
        Daniel
