Absolutely. In fact, it gets better than that.

Try Just For A Day (easy to get into, easy to find, but kind of samey) or
Pygmalion (harder to get into, harder to find, although ultimately more
rewarding).

It's different from Loveless, but still very good - still very much MBV.

Does anyone out there in Denver or Boulder know if DCD tix are still on
sale? Or do you know of anyone with an extra one for sale?
I have a friend re-cuperating from two auto accidents who I would like to
buy a ticket for as a gift to promote healing. (I think DCD has a healing
effect, don't ya'll?)
Anyway, I'd appreciate any info on the Aug. show in Denver, asap!
Thanks,
Carol Coney

well, i called the city center box office today, as per drex's suggestion, to
express my interest in the addition of another DCD show, and the gentleman
there told me:
a) he and his colleagues are NOT passing on any requests for an extra
show to anyone, not to city center management or to the shows' producers. as
far as he knows no one is aware of the interest.
b) he did not know who to contact to make such a request. he said there
is no one at city center who would be interested in such information.
waaaaahhhhhhh! i wanna go! that review of the philly show got me very fired up!

i had a similar episode.. seeing matt smith and trey at the
mojave instore (btw get godzuki)... you just gotta figure
being such a recognizable member of hnia its gotta get pretty
annoying getting asked stuff all the time. especially when
hes involved in something like velour100.... something that
is entirely his expression... matt the same thing...
i think they just want to people to know about their other
stuff too. which is quite understandable.

the all too often scene of ex-SO's in a band is rather
difficult to deal with in a band situation, since you are
practically living with that person in a band its hard to
escaspe from them when things go bad... the deal is elevated
when things are intimate... sucks actually... but thats just
an assumption about what happened. or it could be that since she
cant sing, once the relationship was done.. blah blah balh you
get the point...

kariin only sings on like 4 of the songs..thank the stars!
(the majority being the "world is not...." songs)
its either karen neal or melissa elliot. i cant tell
teh differnce.
karin oliver has the gruff deepish bland voice...
"cutesy" more girlee vox belong to the others...
ask kelli shes better at figgerin out voices than i am.

until i pick up the new stuff, i won't know. i pre-ordered it from
a store in hollywood and i just recently scraped enough money together
to pay for it all, and instead of having it sent out to my house and
go thru unreliable mail service...i would rather drive up and bring
it all home in one piece...at which time i will scrutinize it all for
you guys on the mailing list.
i didn't realize melissa elliot sang. i thought she just played
guitar {and i'll assume a few other things as well}. best guess
at this point would be denise james and erika hoffman for the more
girly & sweet vocals.
warped reality flexi is very nice. lovely hnia song. sounds like denise
on that one, too...but who knows.
godzuki are incredible.
godzuki have always been incredible.
everyone must buy godzuki.

>>>ESP Continent and ESP summer are very different. But they use the same
source material.
ESP Continent is pretty much the straightforward sessions of
callaboration between Ian Masters and Warren Defever. Its sorta in the
vein of Spoonfed Hybrid musically, sparse but interesting instrumentation
with a focus on Ian's voice and melody.
ESP Summer takes the same session material and
remixes/re-masters/defeverizes the songs ala Warren Defever. It takes a
few of the songs and adds alot of production texture and atmospheric/dub
effects.
ESP Summer is avail as a 10". ESP Continent is avail as a French import
on CD. ( I still have a couple copies if anybody's interested post me
privately)<<<
nonononononono...
esp summer and esp continent are the same band...esp summer has released more
than the one 10" on farrago...let's not forget that esp summer started out as
a cassette only release on the time stereo record label...the 10" (on
farrago) remixes the material from the time stereo cassette.
esp continent is a french CD release of the esp summer cassette...all music
on the CD is the same as the music on the tape.
perdition plastics was gonna do a us release of some sort of esp
summer/continent stuff, but i don't know whatever happened with that...
saw the new hnia at cheapo in minneapolis this weekend, so if you live up
there, you know where to go (nice artwork -- much better than my promo copy)
bye,
