To All:
I'm taking up maintaining an A.R. Kane Web Page and encourage
those interested to stop by and send in any contributions. The address
http://www.efn.org/~mccallum/arkane.html
Also, if anyone can offer advise on promoting such a page -
choice lists and such - I would be very appreciative.
Thanks,
David.

we talk about spooonfed hybrid and insides/earwig quite a bit on this list,
though guernica discussion had died down a bit because it's apparent that
guernica is dead -- or at least in a coma. anyone have any info on this?

I have the 7" here right in front of me: 'I'm In Love With A German
Filmstar' POLYDOR, POSP 222, 1981. Brilliant single. Great artwork.
The singer was called Barabara GOGAN.
The Passions have made quite a few records as far as I can remember. 3 LP's
and a pile of singles.

i heard mention of a video that the band had put out about 6 months ago and,
on my last visit to ufo in london, i saw a new full length cd (but i plumped
for 'mars is a ten' instead so i can't say if it's up to the usual excellant
standard). er, the short answer is then: still going, i believe.
(blimey, somebody in new zealand has heard of edsel auctioneer...) 8)

yeah, it was chris i believe, the drummer. also ashley from EA used to play
with PS on tours. i once saw ea and ps on the same bill at leicester
university (when graham did what he'd been promising all tour and finally
smashed his guitar to pieces) and, mingle mangle*, the clock on the wall
behind the stage was going backwards whilst the pale saints played.
also, chris was questioned by the police when the edsel's stuff was stolen a
few years back because he was meant to be looking after the gear. they live
in the same street in liverpool i believe, harold avenue? (it's on the early
edsels stuff, i think they even named that ep after it, the one with unbroken
line on it.)
oh, a question of my own: did the first edsel's peel session (way back in 86
or 87) ever get released officially anywhere? er, brick wall dawn, between
two walls, like a hurricane and, er, another track
anybody else ever worry that they know too much about things that nobody else
really cares about?

2 things...
does anyone know where i could find
the musical compositions from the brothers Quay
videos?? it seems like theyve all been pretty
much done by one composer. i culled the name "jankowski"
from the credits. larry sider maybe as the conductor.
anyone know anything about this??
other one..
in the 2nd most recent issue of raygun (cypress hill cover)
there is a half page article about mystic moog orchestra.
interesting.
thanks.

My uncle is a guitar manufacturer, and would like to trade a custom
guitar or other music equipment for a late model computer. So, if any of
you budding musicians are upgrading your computers (either mac or
pc--he hasn't decided which he will go with yet) and would like to
get some musical equipment out of it, email him--at:

I was wondering if any of you were lucky enough to get a reply from
Warren about some HNIA tapes. Warren's tapes, not the other ones that
are for sale. Like, pre-4AD "Livonia" demos and stuff like that. If
someone wants to trade for other demos or something, that would be cool.
By the way, I just got back from break, so I'm sending out the demos
that have been ordered from me tomorrow. Sorry for the long wait....

Actually the Zazou collaborator also has the last name GOGAN (not Grogan)
BUT her firt name isn't Barabara, it's Barbara. Hmmmmm, i wonder if it's
the same person??? ;)
Neither of the 2 Zazou albums i have say "courtesy of blah blah blah" for
Ms. Gogan so does that mean The Passions are kaput? Were they any good, i
don't seem to remember that song, could you hum the tune for me?

>>It runs around $80 per year.<<
Actually they've straightened themselves out as of late. It's around $30 or
so to subscribe now.
Content is very schizo. They aren't quite sure who their audience is IMHO.
The design, of course, is beautiful! Not sure how much input v23 has though.
