Issue #14 of Dewdrops has been done for a week now.
So where, you may ask, is it? Here's the story:

Up to this issue, I've been laboriously photocopying
after hours in my department at UCLA, where by a long-time
agreement I've always had free copies as long as I use my
own paper. Since the last issue, the copier has been dying
a slow death, and I seriously see the repairman in there
every week. I've tried twice now to print up issues, but
have never made it past the first two pages. So it looks like
until we get a new copier (if we ever do), I'm stuck going to
a copy shop. But the two I've looked into charge a criminally
high price for copies, 10 cents per 2-sided page, which was
even WITH the volume discount at one place, meaning that I would
have to pay $1 per issue just for the friggin copies! This would
bring us down to losing 40 cents per issue, so that's not an option.

Please be patient while we search for others.

Brant

Subject: Lisa Gerrard on Hearts of Space

I was unsubscribed for a while, so this could have already been posted,
but I hadn't seen anything about it. Lisa Gerrard's new album will be
played on Hearts of Space, a nationwide radio program. I of course don't
know when that's broadcast or on what station in your particular town,
but it should be in most cities and not too hard to find out. (I know
here in Tucson it's tomorrow night on the classical public radio
station). Just thought I'd share this.

Lars.

                    : NON CONVENTIONAL 4AD UK RELEASES :
                    +----------------------------------+

These releases are UK in origin, and are special editions, promotional
items and freebies...and thus not available through the usual channels.
The qualification for entry is a 4AD catalogue number that is not
duplicated in any of the 4AD mailorder catalogues...this rules out the
more recent label practice of simply handing out pre-release conventional
copies with "promotional use only" stickers on the usual cover and/or
"for promotional use" printed on CD centre rings.

Whether these should be included is up for debate, but seeing as Huite
has been extremely helpful, and the Play It Again Sam Records homepage
is so wonderful, I've included these freebies...
PIAS ordered these freebie CD's from 4AD to be manufactured and included in
initial copies of CD's that they distribute in the Benelux....Belgium, The
Netherlands and Luxembourgh...so are these UK freebies because they were
made by 4AD in the UK, or NOT because they were specifically meant for
distribution in the Benelux?...Catalogue numbers seem tempting...

Or something.

Some person on AOL has just posted that the Red House Painters have
been booted off 4AD. Is this just a totally unfounded rumour? And
hadn't RHP disbanded anyway, and Kozelek was doing solo stuff? Or
what?

It's some sort of traditional Japanese tune... I don't know the name.
