or , at least what i know about it.
as the list has been flooded with not exactly clear information about the
new sampler cd, i thought i would post what i know. i was hanging about
the office of the campus radio helping put the new cd's into rotation.
the station manager let me rummage through the bin of promo stuff to give
away and amongst many others, i found the sampler. i think the play list
and catalogue number has been already listed, so i won't go into that.
the envelope looks much like the "no balls" cd, the photograph being
something that looks like an orange covered in coffee grounds (did
anyone ever do that for halloween to look like a beard?) anyways, the
important part is that the body shop logo on the back is definitely that
of the body shop store (with the towels and bath beads).
and the tarnation song is quite spiffy. kind of like a patsy cline/if-
hank-williams-had-his-testicles-cut-off-before-puberty kind of song. i'm
listening to the unlisted mojave song right now. it's really good, though
if no-one said had it was them i would have thought they just tacked on a
song from the cowboy junkies' _trinity sessions_ album that i hadn't
heard. i already know that i'll buy this album (i have to admit to not
buying some of the most recent releases).

I too have this CD for sale. euphonic k. forgot to mention that there
is also a nice History of the songs on the inside cover of the digi-pak.
The digi pak is also in some nice pastel colors.
I'll sell mine for $10, or best offer.

because they pride themselves onbeing an environmentally savy
organization which donates portions of their profits back the rain
forest countries which provide them with ingredients. the association
being that people who care about certain issues also listen to certain
types of music. its all marketing my dear, no matter how much of an
individual we think we are, someone has categorized us, sized us up and
figured out what we buy...i'm gonna go hide :)

Yesterday I bought me a copy of the 'SNUB TV Vol.1' video (for about $5).
It has twelve 'clips' on it, three of those are 4AD groups:
- Ultra Vivid Scene - The Mercy Seat (SNUB-made-videoclip)
- Pixies - Vamos (live recording, great guitar-solo)
- Throwing Muses - Downtown (live recording, with small part of an
interview Kristin/Tanya)
SNUB TV was a TV-show, screened by Britain's BBC2 early 1989.
Other groups on the tape are The Fall, House Of love, Cathal Coughlin & The
=46atima Mansions, Bim Sherman, Happy Mondays, Wire, Momus, Band Of Holy Joy
end Barry Adamson.

About two years ago I rented a SNUB TV videotape. I can't remeber
what volume it was, or even if it had a volume. Among the clips it
The Breeders - Iris
Pixies - Velouria
I have compiled a list of 4AD and Guernica promotional videos, and
since it's been a while, I'll post it publically again (next
message).
Someone mentioned a video for Belly's "Seal My Fate". If that
person will get a hold of me, I'll give you proper credit for it.
Thanks,
