I don't mean to nitpick but do you mean A Day in the Stark Corner or has
the live album gained a nickname? (I do not consider stark bleak, though
the live album is certainly dismal.)
Will I be able to find this at Cymbaline tomorrow or should I bother
looking? Has this thing made its way yet to the stores that generally
carry Projekt but are otherwise very very uncool?
What other new Projekt is coming out, btw?

1. Stars (Album Version)
4AD generic back sleeve. No insert. Orange 5oo/3oo label.
RED HOUSE PAINTERTS '4 Tracks From Ocean Beach' (PRO-C ????) 1995
1. San Geronimo
2. ????
3. Summer Dress
4. Cabezon
WARNER BROS. generic orange insert.
THE WOLFGANG PRESS 'A Girl LIke You' (PRO-CD ????) 1992

Can anyone help me out?
Thanks!

Is there a laserdisc version for Dead Can Dance 'Toward The Within'? And if
so, is it American or Japanese? (please provide label/cat.no. You know, the
usual boring bits I'm interested in).
A little while ago someone mentioned a His Name Is Alive/Red House Painters
'Summer 1993' promo cassette? I assume it was issued 4AD's US-branch...?
A tracklist..., a description of the artwork...., a cat.no. .... thanks!

The CT box set, 10 CD etc can be ordered from Noteworthy Music for $49.49
which is a pretty good price. If you aren't familiar with Noteworthy
it is definitely worth checking out.
They do not list the TMC box set.

Picked up a copy of the new 6th's album "Wasp's Nest" yesterday. It is
very fine IMHO. Any Magnetic Fields fan will want this. The usual catchy,
quirky Merritt style that seems simple on the surface but stands up to
repeated listens.
This is the album that Stephen Merrit who is the Magnetic Fields recorded
using guest singers for each song. The list of guest singers include
Dean Wareham (Luna, Galaxie 500), Mac McCaughan (Superchunk, Bricks,
Portastic), Amelia Fletcher (Heavenly), Mark Robinson (Unrest) plus
others.
There is an article/interview w/Stephen and Claudia in ths latest issue
of AP.

Whatever happened to the new Labradford album that was supposed to come
out last month? Is it out? Does anyone have it or know where it's
available?
Same with Verve. I know a single was due a while back but I don't see it
for sale anywhere (not that I would) or discussed anywhere, and I thought
the album was supposed to be out by this point.
Black Dog Productions' sadly mediocre new album Spanners came out in
the US last week, or the week before, or something, if anyone cares.
Unfortunately, the Cranes are working on a new album.
Does anyone here have a track listing for FAX Compilation II? I cannot
seem to squeeze one out of the ambient list.
The new Foetus album, Gash, came out Tuesday. It's kind of irritating and
not as clever as his older stuff was, but hell, he only spent six years
on it, so what do you expect? Still it has some nice rokking tunes on
there, the production is pretty amazing, plus I haven't really given it a
good listen just yet.
FSOL are releasing an ep, Far Out Son of a Lung, on the 15th. I am under
the impression that it is very long.
Oh yeah, and the recent Nitzer Ebb album is freaking horrible, as you
might have imagined.

The catalogue number is 45256 and was made in England.
It features 3 tracks by Red House Painters and 4 from His Name
Is Alive.
Without You; and
an unreleased version of The Dirt Eaters (This one
has the sampling
in it, and basically just SOUNDS different from the
other 2 or 3
versions.
The art work is fairly neutral. It's as if someone took a
canvas, painted several layers of earthy neutrals on it and
used a knife to cut across it and
they sort of splashed some paint around a bit. It's just
entitled "93".
It also has a listing of then currently available new releases
as well as forth-
coming releases from 4AD (at the time).
I got it after I mailed in a post card to 4AD in LA. It was
advertised in magazines in the ads for "Mouth By Mouth". It
may have been featured in ads for RHP, but I don't recall...

actually the cd itself is not the regular purpleorange color, although the
back is. the cd is that greengrey color that everything else from TTW
is, not that it really matters or anything.
catalogue #: PRO-CD-7213

Bleak is Mike's side project. They just released an album called "Vane" which
is VERY good. Like the noisy side of LYCIA. I asked Mike the other day if he
I asked Mike last week if he was planning on doing more w/ Bleak and he wasn't
sure yet. "It was a project to release some agression and negitive feelings."
So if we are going to hear from Bleak again, we'll just have to wait and see.

Hi, I don't own anything by DCD and am looking for a place to start, what
do you guys recommend?
Pretty much the same with CT, I own Blue Bell Knoll and a big poster (I
bought it because I kind of like CT, and the poster's cool as hell.) for
Treasure. BBK is alright, but it's not one of my faves. How's Tresure?
Any others you can recommend?
Thanks,
