Well, gee, I wouldn't say FLOP, per say. I mean, it wasn't as big as the
latest Eagles album, or the live Barbra Streisand CD, but I do believe it
went top ten in CMJ's alternative/college music charts. And regarding
Lovelife, I've said before that we got a promotional copy of it at our
radio station, so I think it WAS released as a single, by Warner (is that
what label they're on?)... anyway...it was toward the end of the summer,
and the only promotional discs we get of individual tracks (or tracks
with remixes as in this case) are singles. I mean, I don't think there
was a VIDEO or anything, but it went to number one on MY chart. :)

Does anyone know where I can get the Lush interactive program? And also
that ambient screen-saver thing (or was it an interactive thing) that
someone mentioned on the list over the summer...
Thanks,
Dave, who just downloaded the REM interactive and is very very impressed...
By the way the REM interactive is available via ftp://ftp.iuma.com or
way cool... new and improved! http://garnet.berkeley.edu:8080/cocteau.html

There was no mention in the Slowdive newsletter about a U.S. release date nor
which label would be releasing it if and when it is available domestically.
Rachel mentioned mentioned that they had done their best to get kicked off of
SBK but she didn't say whether or not they had been successful. They are still
on Creation in the U.K. although that label has dropped Adorable and The Tele-
scopes much to my dismay. Alan McGee is too busy promoting crap like Oasis
and Primal Screem and it appears that the label (Creation) as a whole is
and/or has dropped it's usually high standards of which bands are on the roster.

I saw an album by a band called "Earwig" in the store yesterday. It
was definitely *not* the Earwig we all know and think is pretty ok -
the group consists of four boys, none of whom had familiar-sounding
names.
So - beware.
Does anybody have an Earwig discog?

I think that's the "Earwig" album by the band "Pegboy". The
name of the band is small and the name of the album is large so
glancing at it you see "EARWIG".

Aaron,
Are you in Melbourne? Just curious. I'm in Boston, but am originally from
Jacksonville. My best friend lives in Melbourne.
Anyway, I'm interested in one of the tapes, if you still have them. I can
send a check/MO this week. Let me know. My name is Mike Borum.

I have to agree that most Japanese lyrics printed on CD's are
VERY poorly translated. I have this Bauhaus (SORRY!) Triple CD that has
translations of all of thier singles and it is absolutely terrible.
Maybe some bands actually submit lyrics...

FYI
Someone just warned me and so I felt it only right to warn
you. There is someone going around and e-mailing
something going under the name of "good times" If you
should receive anything named such in your mail DON'T
DOWNLOAD IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Delete it ASAP. There is a bad virus
included in that message. If you were to download it into your
computer, it can change the configuration of your computer
and screw the whole thing up, ruin it and all the programs
you have in your files.
